5 Tips For Turning off

The Lahana team have the perfect work/life balance and know how to turn off 'work mode' when needed. Here are our top 5 tips to turning offer before bed.

1. No phone before bed

We can’t stress this enough! It is SO important to do no screen time 30 mins before you go to sleep. There is so much correlating research about the quality of sleep and deep nourishing rest and the affects from light on your phone as it restrains melatonin, the sleep hormone. Spend the last 30 mins of your day reading, journalling or reflection/ visualising.


2. Get ready for tomorrow

our day starts the night prior! The best tip to reset and get focused on the day ahead is to: Get your drink bottle & workout gear laid out for the gym, have your lunch packed and clothes out for work, get all your work gear ready so you are set to go! Even get your vitamins and tablets ready! If you’re feeling eager you can also write your to do list for the following day.

3. Do some reflection

Even just take 30 seconds to do a little reflection (this can even just be in your mind) Our staff have a notification that pops up at 8 PM that says - what went well & what can I do better? Whether you journal about this, or think about this on your afternoon walk it doesn’t matter! Have a chamomile tea before bed for better rest too.


4. Eat some yummy healthy dinner

Us foodies are obsessed with breakfast, lunch & dinner. A smart time saver is to plan & possibly prep your meals on the weekend. This way you have all of your groceries ready on Monday and each night you know exactly what you will cook. We also recommend some healthy fats before bed!

5. Have some me time

After work we usually lay on our beds and scroll through our phones. Take 30 mins straight after work and go for a swim, go for a walk, do some yoga, meditate, refresh and reset
